Candle Care

  • First Lighting

Let the top of the candle fully melt the first time you burn it. This may take up to 4 hours. This will help the candle burn evenly throughout its whole life.

Note that the first time you burn the candle, it may take a bit longer than usual for the scent to fill your space. This is normal for soy candles.

  • Keep the Wick Trimmed

New candles arrive with the wick pre-trimmed to the correct length. After you burn it for the first time, always make sure to trim the wick to ¼ of an inch before you light it again.

  • Limit Burn Time

Never burn the candle for longer than 4 hours at one time.

Stop using the candle when only 1/4 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the tin.

  • Keep Flame Away

Keep the flame away from loose and flammable objects such as curtains. Keep the candle away from children and pets.

  • Burn on Heat-Resistant Surfaces

Always burn the candle on a heat-resistant surface. Do not burn on wood or soft surfaces.

  • Reduce Large Flames

If the flame is too big or dances excessively, blow it out, trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch, and then re-light the candle.

Never burn the candle unattended
